Artist of the Week: Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus is just what she says she is — not 17 anymore. The singer and actress has grown up before our eyes, from her TV show Hannah Montana to the movie The Last Song to her solo albums like Bangerz. She has taken risks along the way and they’ve all paid off: today, at 26, Miley is one of the best performers around.

At this year’s iHeartRadio Music Festival, she was at the top of her game. Cyrus delivered an exceptional set, complete with new songs like “Slide Away,” “Mother’s Daughter” and “Don’t Call Me Angel.” But she performed more than just her own songs: she also included a couple of classic rock songs in her set, like Led Zeppelin’s “Black Dog” and Pink Floyd’s “Comfortably Numb.” And Cyrus effortlessly looked the part in her rocker-chic, two-piece all-leather outfit and wild blonde curls.

After Cyrus delivered her amazing performance, she joined the crowd to rock out to Def Leppard – and the band even dedicated a song to her!

Are you a Miley Cyrus fan, too? Check out her new single, “Slide Away,” if you haven’t already. Or, you can catch her hard-hitting vocals on Ariana Grande’s new single, “Don’t Call Me Angel,” featuring Cyrus and Lana Del Rey.
