iHeartRadio Wins Big at the Shorty Awards!
Every year the Shorty Awards honors the best brands in social media, and this year was a big one for us: iHeartRadio was named as a finalist in three categories, including Best Overall Twitter Presence!
In addition to our nominations, we’re very excited and honored to announce that the 2015 iHeartRadio Music Festival won a Shorty Award for Best of Social Media at a Live Event! The festival generated a record 6.5 billion social media impressions, meaning the festival saw more social activity than the Super Bowl Halftime Show did for the third consecutive year. The official hashtag #iHeartRadio trended No. 1 worldwide, in the United States and across more than 80 cities. We’re thrilled to be taking home the Shorty Award, having also been a finalist in the Shorty Awards Live Events category along with brands like MTV, Airbnb, Bonnaroo, and even Pope Francis! We were also designated with Gold distinction for the iHeartRadio Music Awards social activation, the only live event to earn that distinction.
