Artist of the Week: Lewis Capaldi

This week, we’re honoring everyone’s favorite soulful Scottish singer-songwriter, Lewis Capaldi!

Capaldi burst onto the music scene in 2019 with his chart-topping single, “Someone You Loved.” Since then, his star has only continued to rise. He released his debut album Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent in the summer of 2019 and was honored with the Brit Award for Best New Artist in 2020.

Sadly we cannot enjoy Capaldi’s music in-person right now, but we can still enjoy his talents digitally. On Friday, March 17, Capaldi will kick off iHeartRadio’s “First Responder Fridays with FirstNet, Built with AT&T” with an exclusive performance.

Hosted by Ryan Seacrest, “FirstResponder Fridays” is a four-week event series for the first responders and medical professionals on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. Every Friday, this series collects donations throughout the day, culminating in a special 7pm ET performance from a beloved artist.
