iHeartMedia and Blumhouse Productions Are Teaming Up to Bring Listeners a Slate of New Thriller Podcasts

We’ve got some very thrilling news for our podcast listeners today. iHeartMedia is teaming up with Blumhouse Productions to produce a series of fictional podcasts for the iHeartPodcast Network with potential future film and television development. From suspenseful thrillers to murder mysteries and science fiction, this collaboration promises to bring a lot of new frightening content. And you won’t have to wait long for them — the podcasts will begin releasing in January 2020.

For those not in-the-know, Blumhouse is a popular production house for horror movies. It has produced some of the most successful horror films from the past 20 years, from The Purge, Insidious and Get Out to Paranormal Activity and Split. Blumhouse is jam-packed with masters of horror and we can’t wait to hear what all of this expertise will sound like as a podcast!

The first in the slate of co-produced podcasts is “The Mantawauk Caves.” From writer, director and producer Dan Bush, this new podcast weaves together narrative threads of a social drama and supernatural horror, following three boys who enter a cave in the Appalachian Mountains, the oldest mountain range in the world, and only one makes it out alive.
