iHeartRadio and Under Armour Bring Listeners “The Only Way Is Through,” a New Podcast That Explores How Great Athletes Reach The Next Level of Human Performance!
Everyone is motivated by something — in fact, in order to be truly successful, having a strong sense of motivation is key. Have you ever wondered what motivates the greatest athletes of our time? Under Armour’s new podcast, “The Only Way Is Through,” takes listeners into the minds of these impressive individuals to find out what pushes them to be better.
Hosted by seasoned interviewer Cal Fussman, “The Only Way Is Through” is an eight-episode podcast that dives into the stories of athletes and the people around them that have helped with their success. “The Only Way Is Through” aims to go past just how and why these athletes sweat — the podcast wants listeners to hear what empowers these individuals to continually hit the next level of human performance.
“Through this podcast, UA is using the power of storytelling through a new and ever-evolving medium for the brand,” said Brian Boring, VP of Global Brand Creative at Under Armour. “We want listeners to feel these athletes’ passion and rawness when it comes to obstacles they’ve had to face in their lives and careers.”
The first episode features heptathlon competitor Georgia Ellenwood. The heptathlon isn’t for the faint of heart; it includes a series of track and field events that pushes its contestants to the limits of their body’s strength and endurance. In this first episode of the show, Cal Fussman sits down with Ellenwood as she looks back on her journey from collegiate champion to professional athlete as well as the trials and tribulations she’ll face as she pursues a spot in the 2020 Olympic Games. Upcoming episodes also include the most decorated Olympian of all time, Michael Phelps, two-time women’s national championship basketball coach Muffet McGraw and heavyweight champion of the world Anthony Joshua.
Ready to be motivated? Listeners can check out the first episode of “The Only Way Is Through” on January 21st.
