Station of the Week: New Music Edition
This week, we’ve got more new music than could possibly fit in one #NewMusicTuesday post — so we’re giving you three new albums and three new Stations of the Week to tune into. (You can thank us later.)
First up, we have the latest release from English hip-hop artist M.I.A., A.I.M. While there’s been a lot of speculation around the exact contents and vibe of this album, we know for sure that A.I.M. will include collabs with Skrillex, Diplo, and, yes, Zayn. While you wait to download A.I.M., tune in to M.I.A. Radio for hits like “Paper Planes” and “Bad Girls” and artists like Major Lazer and Gwen Stefani.
It’s apparently a great week for British music, because indie pop quintet Bastille has also released a new album, Wild World, the follow-up to 2013’s Bad Blood. Don’t sleep on this album: Bastille, who was nominated for Best New Artist at last year’s Grammy’s, is sure to deliver another killer set of earworms and ballads alike. Not familiar with the band and want a primer before you download? With songs like “Pompeii” and “Fake It” on steady rotation, Bastille Radio’s got you covered.
Finally, country rocker Jason Aldean debuts his new album They Don’t Know today, and already fans love submitting requests to their local country stations to play the album’s singles “Lights Come On” and “A Little More Summertime.” If the rest of They Don’t Know is anything like Jason Aldean Radio, with lilting bops like “She’s Country” and toe-tapping classics like “Country Girl,” we’ll all be in for a treat.
Tell us what you think of all the new music released today on Twitter and Facebook, and check back next week to see our picks for #NewMusicTuesday and Station of the Week
