Artist of the Week: Leon Bridges

Riding the wave of his recently-released sophomore album, Good Thing, Leon Bridges is a busy man! Fresh off a tour opening for Harry Styles, Bridges recently joined forces with country star Luke Combs—the duo performed together on Broadway street in downtown Nashville, Tennessee, while filming an appearance on CMT’s Crossroads series. Bridges’ single “Beyond” is a hit in its own right, but performed as a duet with Combs, is out of this world.

It’s hard to believe that Bridges’ career is just about four years old, but believe it! The new-age soul singer got his start after releasing “Coming Home” in 2014. Some local radio stations picked it up, and the rest was history. Today, the artist is bringing a fresh perspective to 1960s rhythm and blues and inspiring a new generation of music fans to fall in love with the soul genre.
