“Disgraceland” Is Back With Its Fourth Season of Music-Filled, Sometimes Murderous Untold Stories!
Can’t get enough of music of the future, present or past? And are you quietly obsessed with true crime, too? If you answered ‘yes’ to these questions, you’ve probably heard about iHeartRadio’s tantalizing podcast, “Disgraceland.” Jake Brennan, host and producer of the rock and roll true crime podcast dives into it all: murder, infidelity, suicide, arson, overdose, religious cults, drug trafficking and the music behind it all. “Disgraceland” explores the alleged true crime antics and criminal connections of the musicians we love. And today, the podcast is launching it’s fourth season (and possibly it’s best yet).
This podcast has explored the lives of many popular musicians like Jerry Lee Lewis, Tupac Shakur and Amy Winehouse. In this new season, “Disgraceland” is jumping into the tumultuous stories behind bands and artists like N.W.A, Led Zeppelin, A$AP Rocky, Iggy Pop and Eminem.
This new season of “Disgraceland” takes a deep dive into N.W.A, the self proclaimed, “most dangerous group in America.” The group’s hard-hitting beats and reality rhymes launched a “gangsta rap” trend in music that still thrives today and their album, Straight Outta Compton, predicted one of the most notoriously violent events in American history.
But that’s not all that you should expect from the new season of “Disgraceland.” Expect a lot of additional, somewhat frightening tales. Like did you know about the cult-related past of Led Zeppelin and the dangers of the band’s guitarist, Jimmy Page? Or have you heard the story behind Madonna’s difficult and deeply saddening rise to fame? The show even explores Eric Clapton, his drug addiction and his murderous drummer.
