iHeartRadio's Data Download: July
Welcome to second installment of our monthly Data Download series. We’re here with a brand new look into the top artists, tracks and playlists that our listeners (yes, you) have been streaming throughout the heat of the summer. Is Taylor Swift still No. 1? What tunes have had the staying power to stay cool, even in the dog days of July?
Read on to see listeners’ favorites over the past month — you may be surprised to see what dominated the airwaves!
Silentó’s “Watch Me” (Whip / Nae Nae) topped Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” and Omi’s “Cheerleader” for the top track when it came to the number of Station Creates. Other top tracks? Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen” and Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again.”
However, it looks like Summer 2015 is proving to be the Season of Pop, with Taylor Swift topping the charts yet again. She’s a favorite among fans and was most-listened-to artist across the country this month, and for the second month in a row, she was also the artist with the most Station Creates.
Omi’s “Cheerleader" got a lot of love from iHeartRadio listeners, too. The catchy track was the top song in New York and Los Angeles while Silentó’s “Watch Me (Whip / Nae Nae)” led the pack in Chicago, Austin and Nashville.
As for podcasts, The Bobby Bones Show had the most listeners for the second month running, followed by Rover’s Morning Glory on Demand, The Kane Show, Ground Zero with Clyde Lewis and Elvis Duran On Demand.
