Artist of the Week: Post Malone & The Weeknd

Posty is back with a brand new bop. Pop stars Post Malone and The Weeknd have joined forces on their first-ever collaboration, “One Right Now,” which makes its global debut today.

Listen to the booming break-up track, “One Right Now,” playing right now on iHeartRadio’s Contemporary Hit Radio and Rhythmic Contemporary Hit Radio stations all day long.

“One Right Now” marks the first time Post Malone and The Weeknd have teamed up on a release. The fiery new break-up song, which sees the two artists looking back on former relationships, is also rumored to be the first lifted from Malone’s next studio album.

While details of his upcoming record are scant, the pop star’s label Republic Records confirms it’s “coming soon.” The unnamed new album would be Post Malone’s fourth major release, and his first since 2019’s indie pop-influenced LP: Hollywood’s Bleeding, which went on to become the top album on the Billboard 200 with mega-hits like “Circles.”

The Weeknd, meanwhile, just wrapped up work on his forthcoming album, After Hours, set to debut soon as well. Since announcing the new record earlier this year alongside the single “Take My Breath,” the singer has been dishing out assists on tracks left and right—appearing on Swedish House Mafia’s comeback song “Moth to a Flame,” Kanye West’s Donda jam “Hurricane” and even harmonizing with Ariana Grande on her track “Off the Table.”

Is “One Right Now” the first of many hit collaborations to come between Post Malone and The Weeknd? We’d put our money on it, but be among the first to hear the infectious new tune for yourself. Tune into iHeartRadio’s Contemporary Hit Radio and Rhythmic Contemporary Hit Radio to hear “One Right Now” right now!
