Artist of the Week: Travis Scott "Takes Over" iHeartRadio to World Premiere His New Single with Bad Bunny and The Weeknd
This is not a drill -- it's a radio raid!
Late Thursday night, Travis Scott interrupted regularly scheduled programming across 160 iHeartRadio Hip Hop, CHR and RCHR stations to debut his new single “K-POP” with Bad Bunny and The Weeknd. The rapper, along with DJ and producer Chase B, surprised iHeartRadio listeners with an exclusive World Premiere debut of his new single on iHeartRadio airwaves -- a full hour before the song was released to the public.
Travis shared what he hopes fans get out of the new song and his upcoming album, and you can see the full video below for what actually happened when he broke into iHeart HQ and took over iHeartRadio mission control with Chase B. Along with the song, he also teased an exclusive snippet of an additional track from his upcoming album "Utopia," which is available to pre-order at www.shop.travisscott.com.
Following the radio raid, in celebration of the single release, fans can tune-in to iHeartRadio RCHR and Hip Hop stations to hear the single every hour and iHeartRadio CHR stations will share the track every other hour on Friday, July 21. Travis will also be performing at the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Festival, which takes place on Friday, Sept. 22 and Saturday, Sept. 23 at Las Vegas’ hottest entertainment venue, T-Mobile Arena. Tickets are available now at AXS.com.
